In the first half, I was watching and read it feeling great anger against the power of the state, by which soldiers and citizens were persistently oppressed.Clint Eastwood made those scenes intentionally, I wonder I'm sure those scenes will stir antiwar feelings in people. Not to live freely as a human being is a great agony! What an indignation to have one's precious life be taken away by the State's Power!!There is a great danger to humanity, when, because of 'Patriotism', nation wars against nation. When, I wonder, are we going to realize that we are all company on this spaceship called 'Earth', and that we are all passengers journeying toward the SAME destiny?Well, In this movie, there are also scenes from personal viewpoints. One of them is the scene of writing letters to their families, in which people express their real feelings...eventually, peoplehave the SAME feelings!!
